GreenWorld Tech; An App For Nigerians By Nigerians

Nigeria a thriving country generates no less than 3,000,000 (3 million) tonnes of waste annually
and the challenge of managing the waste has become an environmental disaster.And only about 20% of these waste are collected and recycled. Now across the country and the world we have heard that
waste can be turn to wealth and a variety of beautiful things. And what if you can sit from the comfort of your home and make this money or beautiful things? Yes it is!



Thanks to the app created by a group of girls from Government Girls College, Duse, Abuja. This app called GreenWorld Tech connects those who transform these waste into beautiful things or those who are willing to pay for this waste and those who generating the waste. 

 One of the App Creator Justina Nyabor in an interview with channels television says and I quote "Individuals who download this app on their phones, we hope to make their life easier and healthier because people dispose their waste on the streets due to ignorance of adverse effect. That's while me and my team members created this app to help to link buyers and sellers, to help to reduce environmental hazard and environmental pollution."

Here is how the app works;

After opening the app, a form is sent to the administrator and then a prospective
buyer is sent to pick up the waste or instruct the buyer on where to 
deliver the package waste.
Waste are rewarded with a system of credits and credits can be redeemed for money

An App User Joseph Azinze who brought in 30 plastics to a buyer with the app
says "I brought in 30 plastics and for each plastic i got 1 points and its equivalent to 
10 naira, so times 30 thats 300 naira its good to go."
